Dmitry Yermolovich
Author of the course book ‘Russian-English Translation’, ‘The New Comprehensive Dictionary of the English Language.’
A linguist, lexicographer, translation theoretician, a simultaneous interpreter and literary translator, a university lecturer with many years’ experience of training interpreters at the Moscow State Ling-uistic University (former M. Thorez Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages). Holds a Ph D in Philology and a professorship. Former student of the founders of the Soviet Interpreting School – Y. I. Retsker, V. N. Komissarov, L. S. Barkhudarov and A. D. Shveytser.
Has authored more than 110 scientific, training and popular science papers on the theory and practice of interpreting, onomastics and other areas of linguistics, including the course book ‘Russian – English Translation’, monographs ‘Verbal Mechanics’ and ‘Proper Names: the Theory and Practice of Interlinguistic Rendering’, ‘The New Comprehensive Russian – English Dictionary’ and a number of other dictionaries including those published abroad. Chief Editor of the Auditoria Publishing House. Member of the Editorial Board and contributor to the translators’ and interpreters’ journal ‘Mosty’. Is the author of a new Russian translation of the main works of L. Carroll. Works for international institutions (including the UN), large corporations, state and public organizations.
Pavel Palazhchenko
An interpreter, who has worked with M.S. Gorbachev and E. A. Shevardnadze, political analyst, author of several books and a large number of publications in the Russian and international media. President of the Russian Translation Company.
Has an excellent knowledge of English, French, Spanish, Italian and German. As a simultaneous interpreter works for the UN, the Council of Europe, at international conferences in Russia and worldwide. Has authored a large number of political publications on political topics in ‘Novaya Gazeta’, ‘Grani Ru’, ‘Izbrannoye’ etc.
Julia Poger

Graduated from MIIS (Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey), with a Master of Arts in Conference Interpretation in English, Russian and French. Member of AIIC. Professional interpreter in such areas as Law, Nuclear, Environment, Business, Development, and Outer Space. Worked for the US Department of State, in particular for the President’s Administration and the Cabinet of the United States. Clients include the BIS, Council of Europe, ECB, FAO, OPCW, OECD, UNOG, UNESCO, the World Bank and private companies. Taught or sat on examining juries at interpreting schools in Belgium (ISTI, ILMH/LSTI. EII), France (ISIT, ESIT, ITIRI), Switzerland (ZHAW, GIMUN), Ukraine (BSSU), the United Kingdom (the Universities of Bath and Manchester) and the United States (MIIS). Codirector of the annual Cambridge Conference Interpretation Course, and also runs the ‘Know your worth: Understanding Marketing and Negotiating for Interpreters’ seminar.
Alexei Shilov

Graduated from the Moscow Physico-Technical Institute (MPTI). Worked at the Geological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Earth Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences of the USSR and in 1990 made a career change after accepting an assignment from a company that provided simultaneous interpretation services for scientific conferences and turned his childhood passion for the English language into the profession of a simultaneous interpreter. In this capacity he took part in more than 50 conferences in various areas from seismic-resistant construction and the geology of the Permian period to banking automation and eventually chose information and communication technologies and their use in various areas as one of his key specialties. In 1990 he completed an advanced course in simultaneous interpreting at the Moscow International Interpreting School (MIIS).
Currently Alexei Shilov has a well-established reputation of one of the most competent interpreters in the area of information and communication technologies. His services are regularly used by such high profile companies as Microsoft, SAP, Apple, Google, Siemens, Cisco, Huawei, Oracle Systems and many others. Another area of A. Shilov’s in-depth interpreting competence relates to such areas as strategic leadership, management, stage planning and design thinking. He regularly participates in training programs organized for senior executives of Russian companies and organizations that are run by leading European business schools and consulting departments of the largest corporations.
